Baby Girl Trump's Photo Shoot
Here are some 3D pictures from our ultrasound last weekend... we're thinking she's got Daddy's lips and Mommy's nose. What do you think?

Baby Shower!
Thank you soooo much to our friends and family who made our baby shower so special. I am overwhelmed by all of the love and generosity that you showed. Baby Girl Trumpatori will SURELY be a stylish girl. Her closet is officially FULL! I think she'll need a minimum of 8 wardrobe changes per day in order to wear all of her new clothes!
Thank you especially to my Mom and Dad (Grammy and Grampy Farrell), who made the loooooong drive down from New Hampshire. They left at 6:30 am on Friday and arrived at 9:30 pm to be here for the shower on Saturday. You'll see a picture of the adorable favors and clothing rack that my mom made---see where I get my craftiness from???
Special thanks goes to Grandma Carol (Trumpatori) who flew down on Friday night to join in the festivities and showered her future granddaughter with at least 40 outfits and 4-5 pairs of shoes. She has officially spoiled her first grandbaby ROTTEN...and we know this isn't even the beginning! She's gotten her wish: "a PINK baby!"
To Laurie King and Kelly Peterson: Thank you so much for putting so much work into organizing the cake, games, guest lists, etc. You two were a HUGE help in planning and running the shower. I loved the games--very creative AND they kept in mind that Future Mommy is a speech pathologist, so all of the games involved something I'd like (word games, memory, etc). Very creative and fun!
And to my wonderful husband: I am so excited that we are going to be parents! You are going to be an amazing father, and I know your love for our little girl grows every day. Thank you for helping my Mom, Kelly and Laurie with planning the shower...even though you can't be sneaky to save your life! ;) I love you so much.
Ok, on to some pictures!

30 weeks down, 10 to go!
I can't believe we're only 10 weeks away from meeting our little girl! It really feels like time has been flying lately. Sure, I say that now. I'm sure in a few weeks I'll feel like time is dragging. ;)
Here are a few pics of the ever-expanding waistline... Don't worry, it's a ROOT BEER that I'm drinking!!!

We went for a 3D ultrasound this weekend in hopes of trying to get an idea of what Baby Girl Trump will look like. She was marginally cooperative at first, but then she decided it would be funny to pull the umbilical cord in front of her face to block us from getting any good pictures.
She's also in a transverse position right now (laying across my belly-- head on my left side, butt on the right side, and her legs are kicking down towards my bladder...lucky me!), which makes her even harded to see. We're hoping she turns head down in the next few weeks. The ultrasonographer gave me some ideas for positioning myself to give her a little more room to move around, so maybe that'll encourage her to move.
Anyway, here are a few pictures of what she looks like... we're going back on Friday for a free repeat scan (to see if she's moved and will give us a better shot).

I've got to send out a big THANK YOU to Vanessa for the adorable onesie she gave us...

And finally, Brian and I spent some time this weekend painting little birdhouses to use for decoration around the room. Since we're doing a little birdie theme, we figured it was appropriate. Here's a pic of our handiwork!

Weekly Check In:
How far along am I? 30 weeks exactly.
Total weight gain: 17.0 lbs at last MD appt.
Maternity clothes? There's no avoiding it at this point.
Sleep: Variable. Some good nights, some bad nights.
Movement: Like crazy as I type this. She's kicking HARD right around my ribs.
Labor Signs: None in sight. Let's keep it that way!
Belly Button in or out? Getting closer to an outie, but not quite there.
What I miss: Red wine, having energy throughout the day. I'm really starting to slow down now.
What I am looking forward to: My shower next weekend with my mom, dad and mother-in-law in town.
Weekly Wisdom: My mom has been trying to drill it into my head that I really need to slow down. I'm so used to go, go, GO! I'm realizing more and more that I'm having a hard time giving myself time to rest.
Milestones: Baby girl is measuring at about 2.9 lbs now. She's getting bigger and stronger by the day!
Other news? Brian and I started our labor and birth class this past week. It's every Wednesday night for the next 6 weeks. So far, so good!

29 week Check In
We'll start with the check in this week...
How far along am I? 29 weeks exactly.
Total weight gain: 17.0 lbs
Maternity clothes? Um, yes. ;)
Sleep: Sleeping through the night, but waking up early (boo!).
Movement: Mostly at night and early in the morning. I think my movement during the day lulls her to sleep.
Labor Signs: Nope. Let's have her cook awhile longer, shall we?
Belly Button in or out? I'm afraid it's heading towards an outie. Hmmm...
What I miss: This week it was beer! (Beervivor--I'll post about that another day...too tired now!)
What I am looking forward to: Seeing my mom, dad, and mother-in-law at my shower in a few weeks; finishing the nursery; starting labor/birthing classes this week.
Weekly Wisdom: Compression stockings are a GODSEND! I have my ankles back!
Milestones: Baby Girl's brain is starting to form ridges in order to make room for more brain matter! Pretty cool-- she'll be a smarty pants, I'm sure! She's about 17" long and 3.0 lbs. From this point on the most growth she'll do will be in weight gain. She's the size of a small cabbage!

Update from this week's appointment
I totally forgot to mention that we had an appointment with an ultrasound this week. The main purpose of the ultrasound was to see if my low lying placenta moved up and out of the way (if not, a c-section is necessary). Well, it definitely moved out of the way! Yay! No scheduled c-section for me!
We also asked the doctor to confirm that the baby is, in fact, a girl. I mentioned in a previous post that Brian's new paranoia is that the baby is actually a boy (now that we've bought all pink items).
Drumroll please..... she's STILL a girl!!! This time she had no problem showing off "the goods."
Ok, onto the weekly check in. Sorry kids, no picture this week-- we'll try to get one in a few days!
How far along am I? 28 weeks exactly.
Total weight gain: 16.0 lbs
Maternity clothes? All the time, baby.
Sleep: I'm tossing and turning a lot lately at night, and feeling VERY awkward when attempting to flip sides.
Movement: Mostly at night and early in the morning. I think my movement during the day lulls her to sleep.
Labor Signs: No way, Jose.
Belly Button in or out? Flat, but still an innie.
What I miss: Getting a good night's sleep. Guess THAT won't be happening for a veeeery long time!
What I am looking forward to: Finishing the nursery, upcoming get togethers and showers.
Weekly Wisdom/Quote: To be careful when walking the dogs now-- any pulling can strain my back (due to loosening tendons).
Milestones: Baby Girl is starting to open her eyes!

Nursery Progress
We painted the nursery this weekend, and if I do say so myself, it looks fabulous!
We decided to go pretty neutral on the wall colors (3 walls of a sandy/grey color and one accent wall of chocolate brown), but then decided to do a bit of peek-a-boo PINK in the closet. I LOVE it! I just HAD the put the bedding back on so I could get an idea of what it'll look like.
It's starting to come together now. It'll look even better once we put the tree decal up. It's going to go on the wall between the crib and the bookcase. (Picture below to remind you what it looks like.)
We've gotten a few accessories so far, including a birdie night light (white, porcelain, shown below in a picture). A few days ago we saw a really cute personalized piece of art at a local baby boutique, so I'm thinking we might get something like that. On the chocolate brown wall we're going to put a bunch of framed pictures and a we *might* spell her name out in painted letters... but we're not sold on that just yet. Anyway...onto the pictures!
