38 weeks.... not long now!

I went for my 38 week appointment today with one of my favorite OB's in the practice (I go to a practice with 7 or 8 OB/GYNs), Dr. Privette.  I'm stuck at 1 cm (same as last week), no effacement, and Hudson is at a -2 station (i.e. nowhere NEAR the birth canal).  Harrumph!  I asked Dr. Privette that if Hudson was stubborn like his big sister and I needed to be induced, would I have to wait until 41 weeks like I did with Emma?  She said, "Not if I'm on call."  She told me to go ahead and schedule next week's visit with her and if there was no (or very little) progress, we could go ahead and schedule an induction date.  There's a light at the end of the tunnel!!!

This past week has been a little more rough on my body-- my lower back is really starting to hurt, my hips are killing me, and I've got a fancy new rash that has popped up on my hands/wrists and torso.  Lovely.  So on top of being hugely pregnant, I'm now itchy.  Awesome.

On the positive side, Hudson's room is finally finished!  Brian did an awesome job with his name artwork-- I just love how it turned out.  I sewed the curtains myself--getting crafty over here!  Check it out...

And just for fun (and because I had leftover material), I made some burp cloths for my Little Man....

We will certainly keep everyone posted if anything happens!  Since we bought tickets to bring Emma to see the circus on Sunday, I'm SURE something will happen that day, ha ha ha!

Night, all!
