We're slowly learning how Emma ticks... sort of. She seems to change daily with her preferences for eating, sleeping times, etc, but we're just going with it.
Breastfeeding has been a bit of a challenge for us-- both with Emma's latch and my production (TMI for some of you, sorry!), but we're supplementing her with some formula and she's doing well with that.
She's now up to 7 lbs, 13 oz (birth was 7 lbs, 2 oz), and is doing great!
Brian returned to work this past week-- thank goodness my mom was here with me to help keep me sane in the transition period! It was hard for him to leave the first few days-- we were all bonding so well as a family when he was home for two weeks. We're doing well, though, so no worries!
My parents came down for a visit last weekend and Mom stayed here through Thursday morning-- it was great to be able to get their input and advice on some things with Emma. Brian's mom comes down to visit in two weeks-- so that'll be nice! She's alredy volunteered to keep Emma busy while Mommy gets her hair done. Woo hoo!
As for how new Mommy Me is doing-- I'm adjusting to the lack of sleep. For someone who previously NEEDED 8 hours of sleep in order to function, I'm doing pretty damn good on 3-4 hr stretches of sleep. I'm also down 25 of the 32 lbs I gained during pregnancy and am back into my pre-preggo jeans...go me!
Ok, onto some pics. More to come....eventually ;)
