I had my monthly OB visit last Wednesday--up a total of 18 lbs (still on the lower end of average weight gain) and Baby Boy's heartbeat was nice and strong. I had to do my Gestational Diabetes test that day, which is never fun---the combo of drinking what essentially amounts to super-sugary flat orange soda plus having three large vials of blood drawn is pretty awful. Haven't heard any results yet, but from what I remember with Emma's pregnancy they only call you if there's a problem. So no news is good news, I guess! Next appointment is Wednesday, Dec. 12th--the start of appointments every two weeks. Coming down the home stretch!
A little belly comparison for you---much more round with Baby Boy.

29 weeks with Baby Boy:
Brian and I have painted the baby's room and moved Emma's old baby furniture in there. We painted the inside of the closet a nice bright blue (we painted Emma's pink before she arrived), to give the room a little color without it being overbearing. Two walls are a rich chocolate brown and the other two walls are the beigey/gray you see around the closet. The birch tree decals have been ordered and are currently en route. I'll post a pic below of what they'll look like. They'll go behind his crib along one of the chocolate brown walls. Brian and I are planning on doing some wall art using slices of tree branches, and that will likely go above his changing table. That part will wait until after the holidays, though--too much going on right now and we'll be traveling soon.

Here are a few cute pics to wrap things up...
