35/35... where has the time gone?!

35 weeks gestation today, which means only 35 days until Hudson's due date of February 20th!  Eek!

We've been hard at work trying to finish up Hudson's room... the walls are painted, the birch tree decals are up, all of the furniture is arranged, most of the newborn-3 month clothing is washed and put away, and I am finishing up sewing the curtains (waiting on more fabric to be shipped).  Exhausting!

We also wanted Hudson to have a special piece of "art" in his room with his name on it, so Brian and I have been working on a nature-inspired piece.  Here are a few pictures of our progress in his room and with the name project:

The birch tree decals are up!!!

I had my 35 week appointment today with Dr. Smith.  I'm measuring right on time at 34.5 cm (actually .5 cm small), and he estimates Hudson to currently be about 4.5-4.75 lbs.  He said "anytime AFTER the next two weeks" I'm allowed to have him, ha!  I would love it if he came a bit early... as long as he's healthy and ready to join us, he's welcomed to it! :-)

I've been getting a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions lately and my heartburn is really kicking into high gear.  Hudson has been especially active between 8 and 10 pm, so that must be his "playtime."

Just for fun, here are a few comparison pictures of pregnancy with Emma vs. Hudson, and 3D ultrasound pictures of both of them...

34 weeks with Emma on left, 34 weeks with Hudson on right.
(Notice my spreading facial features and swollen face with Emma's pregnancy...yuck)

About 28 weeks gestation with Emma on left,
about 30 weeks gestation with Hudson on right.
What do you think, do they favor each other?

That's all I've got for tonight.  Mama needs some sleep, so I'm gonna hit the hay!
